WinSTS Cable Force Software

WinCTS is a specialized version of WinSTS that allows STS-WiFi to be used for measuring cable forces. BDI Accelerometers are attached to the cable and the fundamental frequency is be established through an FFT routine. The user enters the mass and effective length of the cable, and forces are automatically calculated and displayed. This method allows up to 64 cables to be monitored simultaneously, dramatically saving time over single-channel systems when performing load balancing operations for bridges and lift gates.
