BDI Products: Designed for Structural Engineers
Since 1989, we have developed and refined our bridge testing equipment and procedures to allow the field work to be completed in the fastest possible time. Our goal has always been to develop durable and efficient hardware that is simple to install and utilize. This in turn allows the structural engineer to focus on understanding a structure’s live load or long term behavior rather than spending time configuring general-purpose data acquistion systems.
Wireless Structural Testing System
The NEW Wireless Structural Testing System is the latest development by Bridge Diagnostics, Inc. Based on the design of our very successful BDI-STSII data acquisition system, the Wireless STS now operates on standard 802.11 b/g wireless broadband communications. This eliminates the need to run cables to each 4-channel unit and then back to the computer!
Student Testing Kit
This four-channel version of our STS WiFi comes complete with several sensors for use by students in their lab classes, giving them the opportunity to gain a first-hand understanding of structural and mechanical behavior.
BDI Strain Transducers
Our full-wheatstone bridge BDI Strain Transducers can be interfaced with most standard data acquisition systems and will significantly reduce your field testing time.
Structural Testing Systems (BDI-STSII)
Developed through our extensive field testing experience, our newly-updated BDI-STSII is very portable, lightweight, and efficient to implement. The BDI-STSII allows a typical short- to medium-span bridge or similar structure to be instrumented and load tested with up to 64 sensors in less than a day by a two-person crew.
Long-Term Monitoring Systems (BDI-SMS)
Our BDI Structural Monitoring System (BDI-SMS) was designed for tracking structural movement or degradation over long periods of time. Data can be downloaded remotely and viewed in real time or automatically stored on a periodic basis.
Bridge Fatigue Monitoring Systems (BDI-FMS)
Hardware and software specificially tailored for counting stress cycles to help quantify fatigue issues.
Cable Force Measurement Systems (BDI-CFM)
Measure several cable forces simultaneously using the vibratory approach. Also, see BDI Cable Force Measurement Services.
Remote Load Position Indicators (BDI AutoClicker)
The BDI AutoClicker was developed for wirelessly monitoring the position of the testing vehicle as it crosses the structure at crawl speed. It comes as standard equipment with our BDI-STS and can be interfaced with other types of data acquisition systems as well.
Analysis, Modeling, and Data Processing Software (WinGRF, WinGEN, & WinSAC)
The BDI suite of data graphing, modeling, and analysis/correlation software has been proven through hundreds of structural evaluation projects to be the most efficient method for integrating field data with the analytical results.
Overhead Clearance Measurement Systems (ClearanceMaster 3000 ™)
The new ClearanceMaster 3000™ system by Bridge Diagnostics, Inc. was developed to increase safety for DOT personnel during their roadway clearance measurement operations. The CM 3000™ uses a specialized ranging laser to accurately record the clearances at highway speed.
