Description

For structural testing applications that require longer cable lengths, BDI supplies three different types of sensor extension cables. Our RC-187 red cable is the standard-duty cable supplied with our BDI Strain Transducers. It is lightweight and ideal for live load testing and other shorter-term types of tests. Our BC-250 blue cable is heavier-duty with a thicker jacket and can be buried or left exposed to the elements for extended periods of time. Our HD-294 black cable is the heavy-duty type supplied with our waterproof strain transducers and in addition to it’s rugged neoprene jacket, it has a woven copper shield for excellent long-term survivability.

  • 4 Conductor, 22AWG, using 7 x 30 AWG stranded tinned copper wires.
  • Conductors form 2 twisted pairs. Polypropylene insulation over each conductor. 10 Mil high density.
  • Conductor insulations are color-coded, one pair red & black, one pair green and white.
  • Each pair of conductors under an aluminum polyester shield.
  • 24 AWG stranded tinned copper common drain wire.
  • All conductors covered with a jacket of red pressure extruded vinyl.
