Description
The BD-eye is a low cost, extremely simple system that is ideal for running an “initial test” to see whether or not your structure requires further instrumentation. Rather than investing a lot of money into a large monitoring system and then finding out that the results are not helpful, deploy a BD-eye first and then make a decision. Then, simply remove it and install it on the next bridge. Using this phased approach to “structural health monitoring” will likely save hundreds of thousands of dollars of un-needed hardware and software.
